Good fit
I have always been satisfied with New Balance. The fit is very good. This was my main concern. I ordered my usual size. In the stores New Balance are assembled in the US these were made in Vietnam. Purchased through Amazon.

At least SOMEONE makes wide shoes that you can find and buy without a special order
I didn't realize I had hobbit feet until a few years ago when the movies came out. Saw their feet, then looked at mine. Then it all made sense. All those years of trying to find shoes wide enough without fitting like clown shoes... not easy. Those of us with this condition must be some sort of freaks because no one cares enough to make wide shows these days, except New Balance.
The 4E doesn't really feel like a 4E, but its enough to give my wide, floppy tarsal bones room to spread out and chill. And their shoes hold up really well without shelling out a load of cabbage.
Shoes are ok, insoles are terrible.
I can honestly say I haven't seen such cheap insoles since I was a kid wearing kids shoes in the 1980's. They are literally just a thin piece of un-molded foam that provide no cushioning and contributed to a blister on the bottom of my foot where I have never gotten a blister before in my life. Other than the crappy insole, I think the shoe itself is pretty nice. Will be going to get a dr. scholl's or something. Oh...and if you are looking for wide, the 4E really isn't that wide. I've had very comfortable New Balance sneakers before, but these don't really live up to that standard. They are inexpensive though.
