walking shoe
velcro ties are ok but not as secure as laces. very good shoe othewise. i am suffering from plantar faciitius & these shoes are helpng. be sure to get the correct size for foot problems.

You get what you pay for
Let me say first off that it took me a long time to decide whether or not to spend this much for a pair of shoes. I am so glad I did! I have had them for about three months now and just went through a time when I spent a lot of time on my feet during one of those months. I must tell you I am a very big guy and have a lot of problems with my feet. I always thought more cushioning was better; not true. While I do have heel pads in these that is all. These shoes are awesome!!!! As for the velcro straps they are very good, maybe not for extreme walking or exercising but for a day on the job they are excellent. Spend the money and stabilize your feet the right way and relieve the pain.
Cheap Construction
This model has been cheapened vs the previous model 926 by reducing the support material in the heel counter. It is more difficult to put your foot in the shoe. If you like quality look at Brooks Addiction Walker V-strap Men's velcro.
