With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

Runs small, not wide
I have always bought New Balance shoes in the past with no problems with fit until recently. I bought a pair of 460's previously and now these 900s. In both cases, they run at least one size small. And for width, you might as well order a medium because these certainly are not wide width shoes! I am very disappointed in this purchase as well as with New Balance. They have changed the way they make shoes. If you order these, get a size larger than normal and if you need a wide width, I'm afraid you're out of luck. The picture shows Brown/Orange, the description says Brown/Green and the shoes I actually got were Brown/Burgandy.

Make sure you read the proper description of these shoes before buying
The Amazon description for these shoes is at least partially incorrect, because the Amazon description says the last that this shoe is based on, the RL-3 last, has a wider forefoot, but the New Balance website says that the RL-3 last has a standard forefoot.
These small things make a big difference in fit, as I have discovered now that I've bought 2 - and returned 2 - New Balance styles of shoe in the last week. Because those 2 pairs had fit my feet so poorly, yet New Balance has a good reputation for fitting well, I was initially confused, and I had to do some searching online to learn that New Balance makes shoes for many different foot shapes -- it is up to the customer to be pretty clear about the shoe form/base/last that he/she is looking for, before ordering.
Therefore, before buying a New Balance shoe, do check to make sure it's based on a last that is shaped for your foot.
The best way to pinpoint which models of New Balance shoes would work...

Not sure why these shoes are so pricey, there isn't anything special about them. I don't find them to be overly comfortable or of quality, they are just ok. I have purchased lower numbered new balance and found them much more comfortable.
