A shoe for underpronators
The New Balance WR890 running shoe was recommended in a fitness magazine for those who underpronate (feet roll outward). I have this "condition" and tend to get shin splints each summer when I take my jog outdoors. I have been wearing the shoes for 2 months on the treadmill and I do feel that the shoe keeps my foot pulled inward (it felt awkward at first but I'm used to it now). There is not much padding inside so I use a drug store insert and that helps. I jogged at the park yesterday and the shoe was light, comfortable and I do not have any shin pain so far.

Good fit
This is an excellent shoe (at least for me). I like the fit and the light weight feel of the shoe. However, I need more support in the arch (I have a fallen arch) and I use the PowerStep Pinnacle insole with them. They work great together and just what I am looking for in a walking shoe.
Great running comfort
I have a lot of foot issues, but thought I would give these a try. They are the most comfortable shoe that I own and the best running shoe I have ever owned. These shoes are my new favorites and I would buy them again.
