Best shoe ever!
I have been buying New Balance shoes for the last 6 years and have been extremely happy with all of my purchases.
This was the first time, however, that I purchased a pair of shoes without trying them on. I got the sizing from the current New Balance shoe I was wearing to buy this shoe in the same size.
When the shoe arrived and I tried it on, the fit was perfect. It felt so comfortable to wear, not tight in anyway and not rubbing on my heal at all.
I had been saving them to wear when my others wore out, but my other shoes got soaked with sea water the other day and I wore these shoes today, all day at work.
I have never worn a more comfortable shoe ever. I usually always get blisters but didn't with these shoes. I am so very happy that I bought these.

Sized right; lighter than expected
Delivery quick and quality good. Sizing on target; however, shoe was lighter in weight than expected. Still good quality. Good shopping experience.
Using this shoe for light hiking on dirt and gravel trails. I use a heavier, ankle support boot for hiking steep, rocky terrain.
forefoot width still too narrow in a wide size due to fit profile AL-2 last
I am always a size 8.5W in new balance, but for this style (WW646) my pinky toes got sore. Perhaps because these have the AL-2 last which only has a standard forefoot width? Unfortunately this style is not available in extra wide so I am going to have to return the shoes. I would have loved to keep these shoes since they are water resistant and the grey color with aqua stripes is a nice color combination. The shape of the toe box does taper down to make the end a little pointy, but so did my NB WW1442 in a NBJ last which were supposed to have a reduced volume forefoot width but did not hurt the 5th digits on my feet like these did. I guess I have to choose from the limited choices new balance has in it wide forefoot styles, namely those made in a SL-2 or WOL-2 last, none of which come in a water resistant grey sneaker like the WW646 was. Darn!
